No borders film, cafe and discussion

f

Tue 8th Sep from 7pm

Come help us fund-raise for the newly restarting Bristol No Borders group by eating some yummy vegan food and watching a great film.

Come share your experiences & thoughts or just to learn more about Calais migrant solidarity, why we need to live in a world without borders and how you can get involved in the movement opposing the detention and indiscriminate oppression of migrants trying to seek better lives for themselves.

Dinner will be at 7pm followed by ‘Welcome’, a 2009 film highlighting the situation of migrants living in Calais.

After the film we will be discussing the political consequences of the border. The recent response from ordinary people has been amazing, but its time, now more than ever, to start talking and thinking about what we can do that goes beyond charity and humanitarian help.

*This event is free, or for donations, and everyone is welcome and no one will be turned away for lack of funds*
