Bristol Renters’ Meet-up at BASE! 23rd April – 6.30 – 8pm

Calling all renters! As you may have noticed, renting in Bristol can be a nightmare! Rents are at record highs, and will continue spiralling out of control without something to curb landlord greed. At the Bristol Fair Renting Campaign, we are fighting for rent controls, better rental conditions, and an end to discriminatory renting practices – and we need you to help build a powerful renter movement in the city! The choice is yours – we welcome all forms of contribution, whether that’s turning up to an event and helping us build a bigger picture of renter experiences, through to lobbying local and national representatives for change!

The housing injustice tide is turning! Bristol City Council now actively supports the introduction of rent controls in the city. The Renters Rights Bill means we have a powerful opportunity to build on the existing conversation. But we need to keep the pressure up, both on local and national government, to make fair renting a reality.

If you want to meet other renters, get involved in our campaign, enjoy some free food, and chat with your neighbours, join us for our Renter Meet-Up!

📅 Date: April 23rd
⏰ Time: 6:30–8:00 PM
📍 Location: BASE – Sign up here, tickets are completely free!

Posie Parker, known for her dangerous transphobia, has announced a rally in Bristol called Let Women Speak. Her events have gained the support of fascists worldwide, so let’s come out and show her that the streets of Bristol always have been and always will be queer and trans.

Bristol’s feminism will always be trans-inclusive 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏴
