Prisoners for Palestine Film Screening and Discussion at BASE Cafe – Sunday 14th December – 6-9pm

Join us for an evening in solidarity with the hunger strike by 7 Palestine activists currently in prison. As we enter the second month of the hunger strike, come and learn how you can support and act in solidarity.

Sunday 14th December at BASE:

  • 3-6pm letter writing session in solidarity with all prisoners for Palestine
  • 6-8: BASE Cafe – pay what you can vegan dinner (with gluten free options available). No one turned away due to lack of funds!
  • 7-9: Film screening of ‘Tomorrow’s Freedom’ on the life and imprisonment of Palestinian activist Marwan Barghouti, his fight for justice & hunger strikes in prison + discussion including testimonies from the hunger strikers

Anarchy 101 at BASE – Wednesday 17th December – 7pm

This is an entry level session exploring some of the basic principles and values of anarchism and providing an opportunity for people to ask questions in an open and welcoming environment.

This event is free and open to all. Tea, coffee and water will be available, feel free to bring your own snacks however please make sure they are vegan.

Southeast Asia Solidarity Night & Fundraiser at BASE – Sunday 7th December – 6-8pm

Southeast Asia solidarity at BASE!

Join us on Sunday December 7 for this event to raise funds for Etniko Bandido (anarchist infoshop & local autonomous network) in the Philippines. Various art works will be displayed and sold for donations. We will share some updates from comrades in Indonesia, Philippines, and Myanmar.

BASE hosts a weekly cafe on Sundays from 6pm. Get a hot vegan meal for pay-what-you-can donations.

The event will begin roughly around 7pm, after food has been served.

Spycops discussion with Kate Wilson and Chris Brian – Saturday 6 December – 6-8:30pm

Join us for a deep dive into the #spycops scandal with Kate Wilson and Chris Brian -including discussion of Kate’s book!

Kate Wilson’s acclaimed book “Disclosure: Unravelling the Spycops Files” was published earlier this year. Kate will be discussing the book and the latest from the #spycops inquiry with former ‘Kebele’ resident Chris Brian from the Undercover Research Group, who will also be introducing their new website.
