Bad Apple Bristol Open Meeting – NEW DATE Friday 6th February – 6:30-8pm

✊🏽 NEW DATE – Friday 6th of February! ✊🏽

Bad Apple Bristol focuses on raising awareness about the tech industry’s participation in genocide in the Democratic Republic of Congo, on navigating our responsibility in the West & how we can combat consumerism. We ALSO want to begin to build knowledge on how the tech industry exploits and harms Palestinians and Uyghurs.

Come and get involved — build knowledge and awareness, connect with other groups and individuals, and discuss your perspectives and ideas of how we can collectively build better in the long run. While we want to stay engaged with our communities in and around Bristol, you don’t have to make any long-term commitments by coming to this meeting, any time you give is valuable.

If you would like to volunteer with us for this meeting and have wellbeing, welfare and de-escalation training/ experience please send us a message.

Please message us if you have any questions or needs before the meeting! We look forward to welcoming you to the space.

Rise Up for Rojava – Film Screening and Discussion at BASE Cafe – Sunday 25th January

Right now the people of Rojava are facing an existential threat as the authoritarian Syrian Transitional Government, alongside jihadist militias backed by the Turkish state, launches a large scale invasion of the territory. Let’s come together to share news of what is happening in Rojava now, why it’s important to defend the revolution, and how we can support from here!

The Resistance of Tishreen is a powerful film made during a months-long peace vigil to protect the Tishreen dam from Turkish bombardment a year ago, bringing to life the spirit of resistance that drives the Kurdish liberation struggle and the Rojava Revolution.
